St. Mark Lutheran Church - Leadership Council

St. Mark Lutheran Church is blessed with dedicated members from our community that participate as part of our Leadership Council. The Council is separated into several categories, all working to better St. Mark Lutheran School and Church.

Church Council

The Church Council functions to oversee all church matters on behalf of the members. They also carry out the wishes of the congregation passed through a voters’ meeting.

Elders

The Board of Elders is responsible for overseeing the spiritual matters of the congregation. The board approves memberships, handles transfers, and manages discipline cases. The elders also plan worship times, oversee Bible studies, and oversee care for the hospitalized and shut-in members.

Stewardship

The Board of Stewardship encourages members to faithfully utilize their gifts of time, talents and treasures to serve Christ, the world and each other.

Building and Grounds

The Board of Buildings and Grounds maintains our property grounds and buildings by supervising custodial work, overseeing congregational work day events, hands on repairs and general upkeep and arranging for professional contractors.

Board of Education

The Board of Education coordinates, supervises and sets policy for all Christian educational efforts underway in our Lutheran Elementary School and all other groups which involve youth.

Committee for the Care of Called Workers (CCCW)

This committee functions to monitor the spiritual, physical, social and mental well being of all St. Mark called workers. The mission is to support called workers and their families, encourage them in their ministry and enhance the quality of their lives.
