This age is a great time to develop faith in our Savior Jesus. In our class, we learn what God teaches us in the Bible and how to apply it to our lives. Within this Christ-centered framework, we learn all the other subjects as well.
Marie Seipel loves living in Eau Claire and being a part of the ministry of St. Mark Lutheran School. She is encouraged by the support of the congregation and inspired by the growth of student faith.
Marie attended St. John's Lutheran in Red Wing, MN for her kindergarten through 8th-grade education. Then she attended St. Croix Lutheran High School in West St. Paul, MN. Marie has always had a heart for education, children, and ministry, so she decided to pursue an elementary education degree at Martin Luther College. After graduation, she received a call to teach at St. Mark Lutheran School.
Marie has taught a variety of subjects and grade levels from first through eighth grade. She currently teaches second grade in the morning and a combined class of first and second graders in the afternoon.
Charlotte (Fitschen) Prahl grew up on a dairy farm in Lake City, MN. After teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for several years, she knew that she wanted to be a teacher. Charlotte attended Dr. Martin Luther College and when she graduated, she was assigned to teach first through fourth grade at a new school -- St. Mark Lutheran School in Eau Claire, WI.
Her entire teaching career has been at St. Mark. Throughout the years she has taught various ages from preschool through sixth grade. For most of the years, she has been a first and second grade teacher.
